Day 1 Arrive at Beijing by your own flight
Upon your arrival at Beijing, first you will claim your luggage and pass the customs. Our tour guide will pick you up at the exit holding a sign with your name on it. Transfer you to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 2 Beijing
Your tour start with the Tiananmen Square, which was the largest city square in the world. The square has witnessed several important events in China. Across the street, you will enter the Forbidden City, which remained the residence of the emperors for nearly five hundred years, from the 15th century to the early 20th century, and was the actual and symbolic seat of imperial power. Catch a glimpse of how Chinese emperors live their life in ancient times.
Have lunch at selected restaurant in the downtown.
After lunch, head to the Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors came to worship the heavens in hopes of good harvests.
Enjoy the Peking Acrobatic Show or Peking Opera or Kongfu show with basic seat in the evening.(three options for you to choose).
Day 3 Beijing
The highlight of the day is the Great Wall, which is the most famous icon of China and one of the seven wonders on the world. You can either choose Badaling Great Wall or Mutianyu Great Wall. Please prepare your shoes for hiking on the wall. Cable car is optional for you to get on the wall.
Have lunch at a selected restaurant. Then visit Dingling Tomb and Sacred Road. Dingling Tomb is the only tomb that has been excavated among the 13 Ming Tombs. Alone the sacred road there are many stone statues of people and animals on both sides. These are the loyal guarders of the royal graveyard.
Day 4 Beijing to Xian
Visit Beijing Hutong in the morning. Then take an afternoon flight to Xian after lunch. Upon your arrival, our tour guide will pick you up at the airport in Xian and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 5 Xian
In the morning, you will visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, which is the highlight of Xian. It is one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the century. There are three excavated pits exhibiting amazing Qin dynasty warrior and horses figures. Then visit the bell tower, the emblem of Xi’an city. Have lunch in a nice restaurant.
Visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built in Tang Dynasty. As the landmark of Xian, the pagoda is a seven-story building, which is 64.5 meters high, was built to store the scriptures and Buddhist relics he brought from India. Enjoy the amazing Tang Dynasty show in the evening.
Day 6 Xian to Shanghai by flight
First visit Shaanxi History Museum, known as “ancient capital pearl, Chinese treasure house”, is an artistic hall which displays Shaanxi history, culture and Chinese ancient civilization. Then go the Ancient City Wall, which was built in Tang Dynasty and survived through Chinese long history. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. You can walk or cycle on the ancient wall (bike rental fee is not included). At last, we will have a tour to Hanyang Tomb. Take afternoon flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.
Day 7 Shanghai
The tour begins with Yuyuan Garden, built in 1559, is characteristic of the architectural style of the Ming dynasty. The symbol of Yuyuan Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. After visiting these spots, we go to Jade Buddha Temple.
Afternoon we visit the Bund. The Bund trench one mile along the bank of huangpu River. Traditionally, the Bund begins at Yan’an Road in the south and ends at Yan’an Road in the south and ends at Waibaidu Bridge in the north, which crosses Suzhou Creek. After that we will walk to Nanjing Road, and then visit an old street in Shanghai. At last, we will go back to hotel.
Day 8 Shanghai
Visit Zhujiajiao Water Town, an ancient water town well-known throughout the country, with a history of more than 1700 years.
Then go to Xintiandi, is a fashionable pedestrian street composed of Shikumen and modern architecture style.
Then visit Shanghai Museum. As a museum of ancient Chinese art, Shanghai Museum possesses a collection of 120,000 precious works of art. Its rich and high-quality collection of ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy is specially celebrated in the world.
Oriental Pearl TV Tower is 468 meters high and it combines sightseeing, catering, shopping, recreation, accommodation, broadcasting and TV transmission into one body. It has become a symbolic architecture and a favorable spot for tourists in Shanghai.
Day 9 Shanghai-Zhouzhuang-Suzhou
Drive from Shanghai to Zhouzhuang Water Town(about 2 hours’ drive). Take a walk in Zhouzhuang, visiting Double Bridge, Mi Pavilion, Shen’s house etc. This ancient town is surrounded by water with many branching streams, stone bridges and old residence with black tiles and white wells. Then drive(1 hour) to Suzhou. Upon arrival, visit the Tiger Hill and the Chilly Hill Temple.
Day 10 Suzhou-Hangzhou
It is said that “In Heaven there is Paradise; on Earth there are Suzhou and Hangzhou.” Visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden,which is the the most famous garden in southeast of China. It was built 500 years ago. Upon arrival, Boating on the West Lake. The beauty of the West Lake lies in its lingering charm that survives the change of seasons in a year and of hours in a day. Whoever come to Hangzhou will visit West Lake. Overnight in Hangzhou.
Day 11 Hangzhou-Shanghai
Visit Lingyin Temple &Feilai Peak. With many old trees, groves of bamboo, and quiet and beautiful surroundings, the Lingyin Temple is one of the most famous temples south of the Yangtze River.
Then visit the Six Hamony Pagoda, which was first built in 970 AD in the Northern Song dynasty (960-1127), in a way to press down the evil of the river tidal bore in Qiantang River. Then go to the Tiger Spring and the Mei Jia Wu Tea Village. Drive back to Shanghai.
Day 12 Shanghai departure by your own flight
Transfer you from your hotel to the airport. See off and that’s the end of the tour.
